No, I don't. Call me crazy but I find them too sour,
unless....
they're fresh from the field,
warm from the sun,
so sweet and soft the juice runs down your chin.
It's a good place to break the journey from our home to Brisbane,
a nice tradition I share with my daughters,
and a good alternative to junk food to eat on the way.
You must come to Blighty and try warm English Strawberries they are sweet and smell divine. What about Wimbledon for a fortnight in June?
ReplyDeleteLovely pics!

Hello!
ReplyDeleteOh yummy...I could just eat some....but its too wet and cold to look for them today...so I'll enjoy your pictures!
Yum yum yum. I just love the idea of picking your own. They even look better and I bet taste better. Thanks so much for dropping by Beach Vintage.
ReplyDeleteSo it's summer by you now? Good! I can keep the dream alive. It's supposed to snow here this weekend. :-(
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like hand picked strawberries!
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries! I have to admit though, I've never picked one before. We do have fields around where you can go and pick your own but I'm to lazy. LOL
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say you didn't enjoy Scarlett at first because they talked about that in the play. The screenwritter said she was not a likeable person and who would care what happened to her. But the Producer wanted to stay true to the book and kept her the way she was written.
When you think about it she really was a mean, nasty and spoiled woman!
I do love Gone With the Wind though. It is long isn't it.
Hugs,
Joanne
